New to C4BF: Monthly Raffle

Posted on 12:37 by Unknown

Taking the time to search for old cleats in your closet may not seem like a big deal, but for the boys and girls playing barefoot throughout the world, receiving a pair of soccer cleats could be life changing. Imagine one day you’re playing soccer barefoot and the next you're bending the ball with a pair of cleats. That's the difference between just kicking the ball around and discovering one's full potential as a soccer player. We need your help to make this difference, so at C4BF we will reward parents and players who take the time to bring us their old cleats. Every month C4BF will be raffling off a $100 gift card to Dicks Sporting Goods.

Entering to win is easy. You'll get one raffle ticket just for entering your email address and you’ll receive  another raffle ticket for each cleat you donate! This past weekend one family donated 20 pairs of cleats, and that means they received 21 raffle tickets. Do you think you have any soccer cleats in your closet? Click here to enter the raffle.

In other news, C4BF has had an incredible couple weekends. At the Tottenham Hotspur America Cup and McDonogh/Pipeline Summer Classic, we collected more than 100 pairs of cleats!

We are also excited to announce a shipment of cleats made its way out the door. greeNEWit Co-Founder Josh Notes took a suitcase of cleats with him on his trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico this past weekend. The cleats were given to the Federación Puertorriqueña de Fútbol, the governing body of soccer in Puerto Rico. Among many things, the federation runs soccer programs for children from lower-income families.

Some of the cleats sent to Puerto Rico were collected at the Tottenham Hotspur America Cup, so a big thank you goes out to those who donated!

Gearing Up for August

Posted on 14:51 by Unknown

C4BF had an amazing month of July. Cleats were sent out to Ethiopia, El Salvador and yesterday two boxes of cleats left St. Matthews Catholic Church in Charlotte, North Carolina bound for Haiti. The support from local soccer teams and players has been tremendous, and we have high hopes for the month of August.

This weekend C4BF will be collecting cleats and soccer equipment at the Tottenham Hotspur America Cup and the MLS ¡Futbolito! 4x4 Tournament. To see our full schedule of collection sites, click here.

This has been a great summer for international soccer, starting with the Euro Cup and now the 2012 London Olympics. Soccer has the power to captivate and unify the globe. At C4BF, we want to make it possible for children everywhere to develop their game with the proper equipment.

C4BF is always searching for locations around the world in need of cleats and soccer equipment. If you’d like to lend a helping hand to a foot in need and you know of an organization in the U.S. or abroad that might be interested, please contact us. Email Andres at C4BF@greenewit.com.
